Cabin Camp at Camp IMR – January 9, 2009
On January 9th 2009 at about 5:30 Boy Scout Troop 21 left WAUMC for Camp IMR. When
we got there everyone picked their cabins. We did not have Journal cabin this time, we
had Rotary Cabin. After everyone had picked their cabins we had dinner. After dinner
there was free time until lights out a little after 10:30. For breakfast on Saturday we each
had our own omelets. After breakfast we had advancement until noon. During
advancement Aaron Rockenbach earned his first class rank. After advancement was
soup, cornbread, and gigantic Special K treats with M&M’s for lunch. And after lunch was
free time until dinner. Many people went sledding, but others stayed in their cabins and
played board games. A lot of people also went to the trading post; witch was open from 1:
30- 2:30. After free time was a dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. There was
also cake for dessert in honor of Nathan Rockenbach and Willie Rohrer’s birthday. After
that there was a very short amount of free time until the fire ceremony at 8pm. The fire
ceremony was led by Kendall Cook and Nathan Rockenbach. There were many skits like
Dr. Know-it-all and stories from Mr. Weber. After the fire ceremony there was free time
until lights out at 10:30. In the morning we had pancakes and sausages for breakfast and
then everyone packed their gear and had a little free time before we left camp. We
returned back at church a little before noon and put all of our gear back into the troop room.
