One Skillet Spaghetti
(homemade hamburger helper)
6 servings           
           
1 lb gr beef           
2 med onions chopped           
7 oz spaghetti broken into sm pcs           
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes - undrained           
3/4 C chopped green pepper           
1/2 C water           
1 8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained           
1 tsp chili powder           
1 tsp dried oregano           
1 tsp sugar           
1 tsp salt           
4 oz (1 C) shredded cheddar cheese           
           
brown meat & onions           
combine all but the cheese and bring to boil           
reduce heat and simmer 30 min. or until spaghetti is tender           
add cheese to top and cover until melted
