Italian Beef Roast And Pasta

3 - 3.5 lb boneless rump roast
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 black pepper
1 jar 4.5 oz sliced mushrooms drained
1 med onion sliced
1 jar 14 oz spaghetti sauce
1/2 C red wine or beef broth
place in slow cooker
combine all and pour over roast
cool low 8-9 hours
serve over pasta
